So I ran across an article about charity organizations (at least in the UK) going with third party fundraiser companies for the money-raising. This means they pay them, and according to the article that is more than they earn from each donator in a year.

I feel like I’ve missed something since I always thought (and have experienced) charities used volunteers to collect the money, and tried to reduce the amount of outgoing funds except for what it was collected for.
I guess I’m just old and foolish, and this is the way the new world works. Silly me.
